it is still covered in tape and probably has some stitches. not really sure. it is just bandaged lightly right now.
over my arm is a white sleeve.
then my arm goes inside a splint of sorts.
and then i strap it all in!

seeing the doc in 2 weeks and deciding where to go from there. the therapist has me opening my hand 100x a day, pushing the wrist back to stretch muscles 100x a day, and making sure i rotate the shoulder often. i can grip light objects; yesterday i used the hand to carry a banana and turn shirts inside out.
my grip is still not very strong. i can't clip my other fingernails with that hand or hold dishes very well to wash them. my arm still doesn't rotate very close to the body, so i can't bring food to my mouth with that hand. it makes eating out of a bowl difficult (when i'm away from a surface like a table and have to support the bowl so i can use my other hand to spoon food) and eating our hamburgers today was hard. :)
but i'm working on it and hopefully i'll recover quickly. each day i feel a little stronger.

and god bless us everyone! :)
i'm glad things are getting a little easier and that you are healing! i love you!
At least you don't have a cast. I'd still want to sign my name with a sharpie if I could come for a visit.
You should go the extra mile and do 110 reps!
ouch. it's good you can start using it a little.
